Embrace: Mexico 2012 - Monday

We had our first full day in Mexico today and it went great! Our final 3 members joined up with us after finishing their cheer and jazz competitions so we are now a complete team. We woke up this morning to a hot French Toast breakfast (our kitchen crew is incredible!) and then we were off to the worksites to meet our families! After our teams got acquainted with the families each team began framing and painting. By the time we left our job sites at 5:30pm our nine sites had all four walls standing, the beginning stages of the loft and roof rafters complete, and new friendships have already started to develop. As a leader, it is so much fun to watch our students step out of their comfort zone to interact with new people, test out their Spanish skills and serve Christ through serving others
Tomorrow, five of our teams will go out into the community to share their testimonies and to tell people about Christ. Please pray for our students and the people they will encounter on Tuesday. We are off to bed to get some much needed rest!
