Embrace: Mexico 2012-Wednesday

Posted on April 04, 2012 at 12:00 AM

The past two days in Mexico have been very productive and eventful! All nine of our teams have had the opportunity to go out into the community to share the Word of God, all nine houses are about 1/2 a days work away from being complete and new relationships are flourishing. It is hard to believe that just three days ago we arrived to a piece of property with only a concrete slab!

On Tuesday and Wednesday, our teams had an opportunity to to share the Gospel and their personal testimonies of their walk with Christ to a few communities. Our students and leaders have witnessed over 200 people commit their lives to Jesus Christ. It is a real treat to watch our students share the Gospel using their high school Spanish class skills as they step out of their comfort zone to testify to how God has worked in their lives.

Tonight, we invited our families back to our base camp for a spaghetti dinner and a time of worship. Our students enjoyed sharing a meal and some quality time with their families. It's awesome to think that tomorrow night our new friends will be eating and sleeping in their new homes!

It was a sunny day in El Dorado Hills today; not as sunny of course without all of you... Thanks for the great work you all are doing in Mexico. We pray God opens your eyes and heart to something that is so much bigger than life in EDH.

We love you, Kirsti
